Wednesday was a great day for Vinny Esposito, as he clubbed two home runs to carry the Bethesda Big Train (27-11) to a 27-6 victory over the SS-T T Bolts (19-18) at Blair Stadium.
Esposito racked up six RBIs on three hits for the Bethesda Big Train. He homered in the third and sixth innings and doubled in the seventh innings.
Twelve runs in the opening three innings allowed the Bethesda Big Train to easily put away the SS-T T Bolts. A three-run home run by Justin Morris during the second inning supplied the early offense for the Bethesda Big Train.
The SS-T T Bolts were led by Grayland Fowler's hitting. Fowler went 3-4 and scored two runs. He singled in the third, fifth, and eighth innings.
Sean Barry got his fourth win for the Bethesda Big Train despite allowing five runs over five innings. He struck out nine, walked three and surrendered six hits.
Cole Benjamin was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed 12 runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked three and struck out one.
The Bethesda Big Train pounded the SS-T T Bolts pitching, as nine hitters combined for 21 hits, 21 RBIs and 26 runs scored.
