The Rockville Express (11-19) and the Bethesda Big Train (19-10) each put runners in scoring position on Saturday, but the Rockville Express capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 6-3 win at Shirley Povich Field.

The fact that the Rockville Express grouped all of their runs into the third inning helped them take advantage of their hits.

Jason Reyes was hot from the plate for the Rockville Express. Reyes went 3-5 and scored one run. He singled in the third and fourth innings and doubled in the ninth inning.

Brian Rourke pitched lights out for the Rockville Express. The Bethesda Big Train managed just one hit off of the the Rockville Express' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

Alex Calvert was effective even in defeat, mowing down 10 the Rockville Express batters and allowing zero runs.

Conrado Skepple recorded his first win of the year for the Rockville Express. He allowed three runs over five innings. He struck out one, walked two and surrendered seven hits.

Drew Strotman (3-2) took the loss for the Bethesda Big Train. He allowed six runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out none.
