Farrar helps the Bethesda Big Train down the D.C. Grays 4-2

Logan Farrar had two extra base hits, sparking the Bethesda Big Train (19-9) to a 4-2 victory over the D.C. Grays (10-19) on Friday at Shirley Povich Field.

He singled in the fifth innings and doubled in the fourth and seventh innings.

Sean Barry brought the heat against the D.C. Grays during his outing. Barry held the D.C. Grays hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out six.

Johnny York improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Bethesda Big Train. He allowed two runs over six innings. He struck out six, walked one and surrendered six hits.

Jacob Erikson ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just seven innings, walked none, struck out five, and allowed four runs.
