The Bethesda Big Train's late runs seal 16-2 blowout over the Baltimore Dodgers

The Bethesda Big Train (12-6) used an eight-run explosion in the ninth inning to get past the Baltimore Dodgers (8-11) 16-2 on Sunday at Shirley Povich Field.

The Bethesda Big Train scored in the ninth on an RBI single by Sean Labsan, an RBI single by Garrett Kueber, an RBI single by Allen Smoot, an RBI single by Gunnar Lambert, and a home run by Cody Brown.

Smoot racked up five RBIs on four hits for the Bethesda Big Train.

The Baltimore Dodgers couldn't get anything going as long as Alex Calvert was pitching. Calvert held the Baltimore Dodgers hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four.

Sean Barry improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Bethesda Big Train. He allowed two runs over six innings. Barry struck out six, walked one and gave up four hits.

Harold Myles couldn't get it done on the mound for the Baltimore Dodgers, taking a loss. He lasted just seven innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
