Okotoks Dawgs vs Medicine Hat Mavericks: 7-4

The Okotoks Dawgs take out the Medicine Hat Mavericks with help from Patterson, 7-4

JT Patterson collected three hits as the Okotoks Dawgs (29-13) took home a 7-4 victory over the Medicine Hat Mavericks (29-14) at Athletic Park on Sunday.

He singled in the second, third, and seventh innings.

The Medicine Hat Mavericks couldn't get anything going as long as Taylor Davis was pitching. The Medicine Hat Mavericks managed just two hits off of Davis, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his two innings of work.

The Medicine Hat Mavericks' Nolan Rattai was perfect at the dish, going 2-2. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the ninth inning.

Talon Kunkel brought the heat against the Okotoks Dawgs during his outing. The Okotoks Dawgs managed just three hits off of the the Medicine Hat Mavericks' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one during his four innings of work.

Nick Vickers improved to 2-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Okotoks Dawgs. He allowed one run over five innings. Vickers struck out four, walked one and gave up six hits.

Kal Kilgo ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked five and struck out two.
