A walk-off double from Mitch McGeein brought home the winning run for the Lethbridge Bulls (22-14) in a 6-5 victory over the Medicine Hat Mavericks in 14 innings at Spitz Stadium on Thursday.
McGeein had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He singled in the seventh inning and doubled in the fifth and fourteenth innings.
Mack Major put together a nice outing. The Medicine Hat Mavericks (27-8) managed just two hits off of Major, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his six innings of work.
Matthew Beaton recorded his first win of the year for the Lethbridge Bulls. Beaton struck out one, walked one and gave up three hits.
Evan Regez (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
McGeein, Mike Moffatt and Brock Frentzel helped lead the Lethbridge Bulls. They combined for seven hits and four RBIs.
