Anthony Calton went 2-4, sparking the Medicine Hat Mavericks (23-6) to a 3-2 victory over the Edmonton Prospects (14-15) on Thursday at Telus Field.

Talon Kunkel racked up four strikeouts in the the Medicine Hat Mavericks win. Kunkel allowed one earned run, five hits and no walks over five innings.

Kody Funderburk boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 3-3 day at the plate to pace the Edmonton Prospects. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fifth and seventh innings.

Noah Gapp (3-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
