Andy Mocahbee went 3-3 at the plate as the Herndon Braves (15-16) took home an 8-6 victory over the Alexandria Aces (19-13) in seven innings at Herndon High School on Sunday.
He singled in the first inning, doubled in the third inning, and homered in the fourth inning.The Alexandria Aces couldn't get anything going so long as Reid Frazier was on the hill. Frazier held the Alexandria Aces hitless over 2 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three.
Kevin Heiss did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Alexandria Aces, reaching base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the second inning.
The Herndon Braves had no answer for Drew Morrison, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Morrison held the Herndon Braves hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four.
Micah Kaczor (3-1) took the loss for the Alexandria Aces. He allowed eight runs in four innings, walked one and struck out six.
