Marques Inman went 2-4, helping the D.C. Grays (5-6) to a 5-4 victory over the Vienna River Dogs (3-8) on Saturday at James Madison High School.
He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the ninth inning.Andrew Zitel was hot from the plate for the Vienna River Dogs. Zitel went 1-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He homered in the fifth inning.
Bo Burrup improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the D.C. Grays. He allowed one run over two innings. Burrup struck out five, walked none and gave up three hits.
Jacob Christian couldn't get it done on the hill for the Vienna River Dogs, taking a loss. He lasted just three innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed one run.
