Both the Bethesda Big Train (5-4) and the D.C. Grays (4-6) put runners aboard on Friday, but it was the Bethesda Big Train that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 2-1 win at Shirley Povich Field.
Logan Gilbert racked up six strikeouts in the the Bethesda Big Train win. Gilbert allowed one earned run on four hits and two walks over six innings.
Simon Rosenblum-Larson ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just seven innings, walked five, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
