Martin Costes was cold coming off the bench, but Costes warmed up quickly as Costes stroked a key pinch-hit single in the nine to lead the Baltimore Redbirds (7-2) to an 8-5 win over the SS-T T Bolts (4-5) on Friday at Blair Stadium.

With the Baltimore Redbirds trailing by one in the ninth inning, Costes came to the plate and singled.

Cameron Simmons racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Baltimore Redbirds. He singled in the first and eighth innings.

Zachary Racusin had a hot bat for the SS-T T Bolts. Racusin went 3-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the third, fifth, and eighth innings.

Andy Rozylowicz pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, six hits and one walk while striking out two.

Joey Sullivan got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed one run over two innings. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered two hits.

Alex Deise couldn't get it done on the hill for the SS-T T Bolts, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in one inning, walked none and struck out two.
