The Bethesda Big Train make the most of 6 hits in 8-6 victory over the Herndon Braves

The Bethesda Big Train (4-3) and the Herndon Braves (4-4) both had scoring chances on Wednesday, but it was the Bethesda Big Train that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out an 8-6 win at Herndon High School.

Justin Morris racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Bethesda Big Train. He doubled in the seventh and eighth innings.

The Herndon Braves had no answer for Blaine Michael, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Herndon Braves managed just one hit off of Michael, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his two innings of work.

Andy Mocahbee racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Herndon Braves. He singled in the first inning, doubled in the seventh inning, and homered in the ninth inning.

John Murphy improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Bethesda Big Train. He allowed four runs over six innings. He struck out six, walked three and surrendered five hits.

Josh Glover (0-1) took the loss for the Herndon Braves. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
