A four-run explosion in the fifth inning carried the Vienna River Dogs (7-12) to a 7-1 win over the Rockville Express at Montgomery College on Tuesday.
Bradley McKay racked up five RBIs on two hits for the Vienna River Dogs. He tripled in the fifth inning and singled in the seventh inning.
Matthew Kuhlenberg had an impressive outing against the Rockville Express (5-12)'s lineup. The Rockville Express managed just two hits off of the the Vienna River Dogs' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three during his five innings of work.
The Rockville Express' Tyler Galazin was perfect at the dish, going 2-2. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the eighth inning.
Cody Mauri ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked one and struck out two.
