Tyler Hermann had two extra base hits as the Oregon Lumberjacks (3-5) took home a 3-2 victory over the Bay Area Bootleggers (2-6) in seven innings at Palm Springs Stadium on Monday.
He doubled in the third and seventh innings.The Bay Area Bootleggers' lineup had no answer for Blake Evetts. The Bay Area Bootleggers managed just one hit off of Evetts, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his three innings of work.
Clayton Crum improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Oregon Lumberjacks. He allowed two runs over four innings. Crum struck out three, walked two and gave up three hits.
Josh Wright couldn't get it done on the bump for the Bay Area Bootleggers, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed three runs.
