The Palm Desert Coyotes (5-2) and the Manitoba North Stars (6-1) both had scoring chances on Friday, but it was the Palm Desert Coyotes that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 4-3 win at Palm Springs Stadium.
Andrew Lowe put together a nice outing. The Manitoba North Stars managed just three hits off of Lowe, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out five during his three innings of work.
Despite the loss, the Manitoba North Stars' Jake Pintar dominated the Palm Desert Coyotes' batters, giving up one run and striking out five.
Josh Daniels improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Palm Desert Coyotes. He allowed three runs over two innings. Daniels struck out two, walked two and gave up three hits.
Evan Neiser (0-1) took the loss for the Manitoba North Stars. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
