Dylan Kelly collected four hits as the Normal CornBelters (9-13) took home a 5-4 victory over the Evansville Otters (14-9) in eight innings at Bosse Field on Wednesday.

Max Homick had an impressive outing against the Evansville Otters' lineup. Homick gave up just two hits, allowed two earned runs, walked two and struck out six during his five innings of work.

John Schultz reached base three times. He doubled in the eighth inning.

Race Parmenter improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Normal CornBelters. He allowed two runs over two innings. Parmenter struck out two, walked two and gave up two hits.

Shane Weedman ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked two, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
