Zack Tower went 2-4, helping the Worcester Bravehearts (3-0) to a 2-1 victory over the Bristol Blues (2-1) on Friday at Fitton Field.

Mike Bruemmel picked up the win for the Worcester Bravehearts. Bruemmel allowed one earned run, three hits and one walk while striking out five over seven innings of work.

Ryan Costello had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the fifth inning and tripled in the seventh inning.

Steve Wallace couldn't get it done on the bump for the Bristol Blues, taking a loss. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
