Both the Medicine Hat Mavericks (1-2) and the Okotoks Dawgs (2-1) put runners aboard on Tuesday, but it was the Medicine Hat Mavericks that were able to take advantage, pulling out an 11-6 win at Athletic Park.

Bryan Arthur racked up five RBIs on two hits for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. He singled in the first inning and homered in the fifth inning.

Brendan Hendriks racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Okotoks Dawgs. He singled in the third inning and homered in the fifth inning.

Bryce Feia improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. Feia struck out none, walked none and gave up one hit.

Chris Horvath (0-1) took the loss for the Okotoks Dawgs. He lasted just three innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
