He singled in the fourth innings and tripled in the fifth inning.Nick Spillman racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Edmonton Prospects. He homered in the sixth inning.
The Weyburn Beavers had no answer for Brenden Wiun, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Wiun held the Weyburn Beavers hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four.
Dustin Doucette got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed three runs over 1 1/3 innings. Doucette struck out two, walked two and gave up one hit.
Kyle Garvin couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Edmonton Prospects, taking a loss. He allowed eight runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out two.
