Greg Greene knocked in three runs as the Melville Millionaires (16-23) took home a 3-2 victory over the Medicine Hat Mavericks (21-19) in seven innings at Pirie Field on Tuesday.
He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the sixth inning.Hunter Vasquez picked up the win for the Melville Millionaires. Vasquez pitched six innings and allowed two earned runs, four hits and three walks while striking out four.
A bright spot for the Medicine Hat Mavericks in the defeat was Zac Wittmus, who allowed only three runs while striking out six.
Bryan Arthur went a perfect 2-2 at the plate for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the sixth inning.
Wittmus ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year.
