The Statesville Owls (17-22) didn't stand a chance on Tuesday, as the Lake Norman Copperheads (16-25) captured a blowout 12-1 win at Statesville High School.

The Lake Norman Copperheads scored five runs in the fourth on the Lake Norman Copperheads scored in the fourth on a solo home run by Andrew Meadows, , a double by Brandon Gragilla, , and a solo home run by Zach Featherstone.

Austin Hancock recorded his third win of the year for the Lake Norman Copperheads. He allowed one run over five innings. Hancock struck out five, walked one and gave up eight hits.

Nick Boyles (3-2) took the loss for the Statesville Owls. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out five, and allowed five runs.
