A six-run explosion in the fifth inning spurred the Ontario one (2-2) to an 11-2 win in seven innings over the Atlantic (PEI (0-3) at Parc Laverdiere two on Saturday.

The Ontario one scored in the fifth on an RBI single by RJ Tuck, an RBI double by Mitchell Bratt, an RBI single by Nicolas Velocci, an RBI single by Velocci, an error, a fielder's choice, and a groundout by Grant Beetlestone.

Mason Wright racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Ontario one. He singled in the fifth inning.

The Ontario one relied on Brady Wagenhoffer to eat up innings en route to the win. Wagenhoffer allowed one earned run, six hits and no walks while striking out four over six innings of work.

Sam McKinney ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in four innings, walked one and struck out one.
