Kai Sands went 2-3, sparking the British Columbia (3-0) to a 7-2 victory in seven innings over the Alberta (0-2) on Friday at Parc Laverdiere one.

He singled in the second and fourth innings.

Jude Hall's nine strikeouts were enough to push the British Columbia past the Alberta. Hall allowed two earned runs on four hits and two walks over 5 2/3 innings.

Andrew Franson ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out one.
