The Piedmont Pride (19-4) beat the SBA Bones (14-7) 10-7 in eight innings on Friday behind Thomas Yoder, who went 2-3 and hit a home run.
He singled in the fifth inning and homered in the second and eighth innings.Reece Hampton put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the SBA Bones. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the fourth and sixth innings.
Ryan Rigby improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Piedmont Pride. Rigby struck out one, walked one and gave up one hit.
Stephen Hueber couldn't get it done on the bump for the SBA Bones, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked two, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
