A superb effort by Skyler Shaw-Fuss spurred the Regina Red Sox (23-24) to a 2-0 win in seven innings over the Weyburn Beavers (31-17) on Wednesday at Tom Laing Park.
Shaw-Fuss held the Weyburn Beavers scoreless during his seven innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on two hits while striking out eight.
Scott Beever ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just seven innings, walked none, struck out 10, and allowed two runs.
