A walk-off sacrifice fly from Justin Esquerra brought home the winning run for the Swift Current Indians (15-29) in a 4-3 victory over the Yorkton Cardinals in 11 innings at Mitchell Field on Sunday.

Chad Schultz paced the Swift Current Indians at the plate. Schultz went 3-5 and drove in one. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the third and eleventh innings.

Nelson Quark allowed one earned run, four hits and one walk while striking out three over seven innings of work.

JD Heredia recorded his first win of the year for the Swift Current Indians. Heredia struck out none, walked none and gave up one hit.

Kody Rock (0-2) took the loss for the Yorkton Cardinals (20-25). He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
