The Swift Current Indians (14-28) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 5-1 to the Edmonton Prospects (20-24) on Friday.

The Edmonton Prospects took the lead in the fourth inning on a two-run double by Josh Williams.

Skyler Souza racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Edmonton Prospects. He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

Kyle Garvin picked up the win for the Edmonton Prospects. Garvin allowed no earned runs, six hits and one walk while striking out five over seven innings of work.

It was a good day at the plate for the Swift Current Indians' Jose Rojas. Rojas went 3-4 and drove in one. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the first and sixth innings.

Andrew Malone couldn't get it done on the bump for the Swift Current Indians, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
