It took 14 innings, but the Medicine Hat Mavericks (22-20) managed to put away the Yorkton Cardinals (18-24) 7-4 on Thursday at Jubilee Park.

With the score tied at two,, bringing home Ryan Helgren and Zach Johnson.

Ryan Kemp racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. He singled in the third and fourteenth innings.

Myles Richard brought the heat against the Yorkton Cardinals during his outing. The Yorkton Cardinals managed just one hit off of the the Medicine Hat Mavericks' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out six during his three innings of work.

Dylan Bell improved to 1-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. He allowed two runs over two innings. Bell struck out three, walked one and gave up three hits.

Aaron Dick ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his seventh loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
