Williams helps the Edmonton Prospects down the Medicine Hat Mavericks 7-4

Josh Williams went 2-4, helping the Edmonton Prospects (18-22) to a 7-4 victory over the Medicine Hat Mavericks (21-17) on Sunday at Athletic Park.

He singled in the second inning and doubled in the eighth inning.

Noah Gapp had an impressive outing against the Medicine Hat Mavericks' lineup. Gapp gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.

Jose Cruz racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. He singled in the first and third innings and doubled in the fifth inning.

Gary Koopman recorded his second win of the year for the Edmonton Prospects. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Talon Kunkel (4-2) took the loss for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
