Green's walk-off sacrifice fly send the Medicine Hat Mavericks home winners, 7-6

A walk-off sacrifice fly from Aaron Green brought home the winning run for the Medicine Hat Mavericks (21-16) in a 7-6 victory over the Edmonton Prospects at Athletic Park on Saturday.

Green led the Medicine Hat Mavericks' offensive threat, as he got on base two times in the game. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the eighth inning.

Jose Cruz hit two home runs for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. Cruz went 2-3 in the game with four RBIs and two runs scored. Cruz homered in the first and eighth innings.

Michael Bucci pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs, seven hits and two walks while striking out five.

Myles Richard recorded his first win of the year for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. Richard struck out two, walked none and gave up no hits.

Jeremy Barnes was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
