Wylie Johnston went 2-5 and hit a home run, helping the Weyburn Beavers (26-14) to an 11-6 victory over the Swift Current Indians (13-26) on Thursday at Mitchell Field.

Taylor Steen racked up two RBIs on four hits for the Swift Current Indians. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the first, fourth, and ninth innings.

Brodie Stairs got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed one run over 2 1/3 innings. Stairs struck out three, walked two and gave up two hits.

Bobby St Pierre (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
