Wednesday was a great day for Noah Gapp, as Gapp pitched eight shutout innings to carry the Edmonton Prospects (12-11) to an 8-0 victory over the Weyburn Beavers (16-7) at Athletes Nation Ballpark.

The Edmonton Prospects' bats came to life in the first inning. In the inning the Edmonton Prospects scored six runs. The Edmonton Prospects scored in the first on a sacrifice fly by Bryn Redhead, a steal of home by Tanner Kirwer, , a two-run single by Skyler Souza, an RBI single by Nick Spillman, and a two-run double by Gray Symington.

Scott Beever ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in six innings, walked one and struck out one.

The Edmonton Prospects were sparked by Symington and Cory Scammell, who teamed up for three hits and three RBIs.
