The Weyburn Beavers (16-6) and the Edmonton Prospects (11-11) both had scoring chances on Tuesday, but it was the Weyburn Beavers that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out an 8-3 win at Athletes Nation Ballpark.
Jordan Anderson was hot from the plate for the Weyburn Beavers. Anderson went 2-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the seventh and eighth innings.
Hunter Tipton recorded his third win of the year for the Weyburn Beavers. He allowed three runs over eight innings. He struck out two, walked three and surrendered 10 hits.
Connor Burns (2-3) took the loss for the Edmonton Prospects. He lasted just seven innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
