The Moose Jaw Miller Express get on top of the Edmonton Prospects early but can't hang on in 8-3 loss

The Moose Jaw Miller Express (10-13) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 8-3 to the Edmonton Prospects (11-10) on Sunday.

While the Moose Jaw Miller Express led until the sixth inning, the Edmonton Prospects worked their way back and took the lead on a two-run double by Josh Williams.

Williams racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Edmonton Prospects. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the sixth inning.

Kyle Garvin improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Edmonton Prospects. He allowed three runs over eight innings. Garvin struck out one, walked one and gave up 10 hits.

J.J. Santa-Cruz ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked four, struck out seven, and allowed four runs.
