The bats were busy at Athletic Park on Sunday, and when the dust cleared the Medicine Hat Mavericks (11-11) had a 14-8 win over the Weyburn Beavers (15-5).

The two teams combined for 33 hits in the game.

The Medicine Hat Mavericks blew out the Weyburn Beavers thanks to 18 hits, including zero extra base hits. Chris Erker ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in two innings, walked three and struck out two.

Cruz, Bryan Arthur, Scott and Ryan Helgren helped lead the Medicine Hat Mavericks. They combined for 13 hits and seven RBIs.
