Dustin Doucette kept the Yorkton Cardinals (8-13) off the board during his seven innings of work and the Weyburn Beavers (15-4) beat the Yorkton Cardinals, 10-0.
Doucette struck out one and allowed two walks and six hits.
Eight runs in the first three innings helped the Weyburn Beavers blow out the Yorkton Cardinals. An error, an RBI double by Alex Jones, a double by Wylie Johnston, a single by Jake Derwent, and a three-run single by Spencer Mallonee during the first inning and an RBI single by Anthony Balderama, an RBI single by Jones, and a sacrifice fly by Johnston in the second inning fueled the Weyburn Beavers' offense early.
It was a good day at the plate for the Weyburn Beavers' Jordan Anderson. Anderson went 4-5 and scored two runs. He singled in the first, second, and fourth innings and doubled in the eighth inning.
Eric Nerl (2-2) took the loss for the Yorkton Cardinals. He allowed eight runs in six innings, walked one and struck out four.
