The Weyburn Beavers (15-4) beat the Yorkton Cardinals (8-13) 6-4 on Sunday at Jubilee Park behind Colin Rintoul, who went 2-2.
He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the ninth inning.Ryan Johnson's nine strikeouts helped the Weyburn Beavers to the victory. Johnson allowed two earned runs on six hits and one walk over six innings.
It was a good day at the plate for the Yorkton Cardinals' Dondrei Hubbard. Hubbard went 1-1, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fourth inning.
