Brody Hawkins had two extra base hits as the Medicine Hat Mavericks (7-6) took home a 7-3 victory over the Yorkton Cardinals (7-8) at Athletic Park on Thursday.

He homered in the second inning, doubled in the seventh inning, and singled in the eighth inning.

Dakota Parsons had an impressive outing against the Yorkton Cardinals' lineup. The Yorkton Cardinals managed just two hits off of Parsons, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one during his four innings of work.

Carter Hanford racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Yorkton Cardinals. He homered in the fourth inning.

Camran Bonnema couldn't get it done on the bump for the Yorkton Cardinals, taking a loss. He lasted just seven innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
