The Medicine Hat Mavericks (7-6) needed 10 innings on Sunday to take down the Weyburn Beavers (11-3) 3-2 at Tom Laing Park.

The Weyburn Beavers couldn't get anything going so long as Jason Tarapasky was on the hill. The Weyburn Beavers managed just one hit off of Tarapasky, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out five during his seven innings of work.
A bright spot for the Weyburn Beavers in the defeat was Ryan Johnson, who allowed only two runs while striking out five.
Bryce Feia improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. Feia struck out two, walked none and gave up no hits.
Larry Molina (0-2) took the loss for the Weyburn Beavers. He lasted just zero innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed one run.
