The Yorkton Cardinals (5-5) and the Swift Current Indians (2-6) each put runners in scoring position on Thursday, but the Yorkton Cardinals capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 6-4 win at Jubilee Park.

Michael Schofield racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Yorkton Cardinals. He singled in the third, fourth, and sixth innings.

Eric Nerl struck out six hitters en route to the the Yorkton Cardinals win. Nerl allowed no earned runs on seven hits and one walk over six innings.

Despite the loss, the Swift Current Indians' Aaron Godinez dominated the Yorkton Cardinals' batters, giving up zero runs and striking out five.

David Stagg (0-2) took the loss for the Swift Current Indians. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked two and struck out four.
