The Moose Jaw Miller Express (4-8) had a tough outing on Thursday, as the Weyburn Beavers (8-2) dominated in an 8-2 win at Tom Laing Park.

The Weyburn Beavers scored four runs in the fifth on the Weyburn Beavers scored in the fifth on a two-run double by Jordan Anderson, an RBI single by Cam Williams, and a wild pitch.

Anderson racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Weyburn Beavers.

The Weyburn Beavers relied on Hunter Tipton to eat up innings en route to the win. Tipton allowed two earned runs, eight hits and four walks while striking out two over eight innings of work.

A bright spot for the Moose Jaw Miller Express in the defeat was Brandon Acosta, who allowed only two runs while striking out six.

Dolan Kunkel (0-1) took the loss for the Moose Jaw Miller Express. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked five and struck out five.
