The Lethbridge Bulls (9-2) and the Regina Red Sox (6-4) each put runners in scoring position on Thursday, but the Lethbridge Bulls capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out an 8-5 win at Currie Field.

Brandon Bufton had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the sixth and ninth innings.

It was a good day at the plate for the Regina Red Sox's Bryson Shelton. Shelton went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the fourth and seventh innings.

Chris Stodolka got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Tyler Vavra couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Regina Red Sox, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
