The Weyburn Beavers (6-1) beat the Yorkton Cardinals (4-4) 5-4 but needed 10 innings to do so on Saturday at Tom Laing Park.

With the score tied at four, Corey Harrel came to the plate and singled, plating Brenden Meade.

Dustin Doucette handled the Yorkton Cardinals' lineup with ease, racking up six strikeouts. The Weyburn Beavers' pitcher tossed five innings of shutout ball and allowed only five hits.

Wade Mason got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Aidan Goodall couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Yorkton Cardinals, taking a loss. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
