Blake Rowlett had two extra base hits as the Medicine Hat Mavericks (5-5) took home a 9-6 victory over the Moose Jaw Miller Express (3-8) at Ross Wells Park on Saturday.

He singled in the sixth inning and doubled in the third and eighth innings.

Dakota Parsons pitched lights out for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. Parsons held the Moose Jaw Miller Express hitless over four innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four.

Ryan Thrasher racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Moose Jaw Miller Express. He singled in the first inning and homered in the third inning.

Kyle Sonntag (1-1) took the loss for the Moose Jaw Miller Express. He allowed seven runs in six innings, walked one and struck out three.

The Medicine Hat Mavericks were sparked by Rowlett and Devon Johnson, who teamed up for five hits and three RBIs.
