The Melville Millionaires (0-2) failed to take advantage of great day from Ben Schweinfurth on Friday, losing 5-3 to the Yorkton Cardinals (1-0) in 11 innings at Pirie Field.

Schweinfurth kept the Yorkton Cardinals off the board during his seven innings of work. Schweinfurth allowed two hits, two walks and struck out six.

Landon Briscoe reached base four times. He singled in the first, ninth, and eleventh innings.

Garrett Osterode put together a nice outing. Osterode gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his three innings of work.

Hunter Vasquez (0-1) took the loss for the Melville Millionaires. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
