The Bethesda Big Train (14-3) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 2-1 to the Rockville Express (6-8) on Monday.
The Rockville Express took the lead in the seventh inning on a solo home run by Don Walsh.
Walsh had a hot bat for the Rockville Express. Walsh went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the seventh inning.
Brandon Fleming pitched lights out for the Rockville Express. The Bethesda Big Train managed just one hit off of the the Rockville Express' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one during his three innings of work.
Walker Sheller (2-1) took the loss for the Bethesda Big Train. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
