The Baltimore Redbirds offense too much for the Baltimore Dodgers in 13-1 rout

Story by Narrative Science.

The Baltimore Redbirds (3-0) jumped out to an early lead on the Baltimore Dodgers (0-1) and captured a 13-1 victory on Tuesday at Calvert Hall HS.

With five runs in the first three innings, the Baltimore Redbirds left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

A wild pitch, a sacrifice fly by Ben Breazeale, , and a two-run single by Martin Costes during the first inning and a wild pitch and an RBI single by Zack Gahagan in the second inning fueled the Baltimore Redbirds' offense early.

Mac Caples did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Baltimore Redbirds, reaching base five times. He singled in the second and ninth innings.

Sean Kennedy had an impressive outing against the Baltimore Dodgers' lineup. Kennedy held the Baltimore Dodgers hitless over four innings, allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out three.

Shane Sweeney ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked four, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
