The North Shore Navigators (33-21) took home a marathon 4-3 victory over the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (33-20) on Saturday at Fraser Field.

Sheldon Brogden was solid at the plate for the North Shore Navigators. Brogden went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fifth inning.
Trevor Massey had an impressive outing against the Marthas Vineyard Sharks' lineup. The Marthas Vineyard Sharks managed just one hit off of the the North Shore Navigators' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his three innings of work.
Despite the loss, the Marthas Vineyard Sharks' Brian Rapp dominated the North Shore Navigators' batters, giving up zero runs and striking out six.
Speros Varinos got the win, running his season record to 1-1. He allowed one run over two innings. Varinos struck out none, walked none and gave up two hits.
Donovan Casey ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
