Tuesday was a great day for Zack Tower, as he hit three home runs to carry the Worcester Bravehearts (13-20) to an 11-7 victory over the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (12-18) at Doyle Field.
Tower racked up seven RBIs on three hits for the Worcester Bravehearts. He homered in the first, fifth, and ninth innings.
The Worcester Bravehearts scored four runs in the first inning to build an early lead.
Chris Stanford did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs, reaching base three times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He homered in the fifth inning.
Clayton Dostal recorded his third win of the year for the Worcester Bravehearts. He allowed one run over 3 1/3 innings. Dostal struck out two, walked none and gave up four hits.
PJ Browne was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked four and struck out five.
