The Pittsfield Suns (21-21) and the Worcester Bravehearts (17-26) both had scoring chances on Sunday, but it was the Pittsfield Suns that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 9-4 win at Fitton Field.

Zack Tower was hot from the plate for the Worcester Bravehearts. Tower went 1-2, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fourth inning.

Matt Van Riper recorded his first win of the year for the Pittsfield Suns. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out three, walked three and surrendered four hits.

Bobby Maxwell (1-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked six and struck out none.
